Gretchen Rose Oehmke and Christopher Gerard Carlin were united in marriage on December 6, 1997 during a candlelight ceremony performed by Pastor Robert Kasper at St. Peter Lutheran Church. The church, loacted in Macomb Township, Michigan, was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Gretchen is the daughter of Wayne and Mary Oehmke of Macomb Township and Christopher is the son of Pamela Zawicki of Bloomfield Hills and Gerard and Shelly Carlin of Oakland Township.
Gretchen's matron of honor was her sister, Sarah and her friend , Tracy Virgin was her maid of honor. Bryan Duryee was Chris' best man. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Cerny, Collen Carlin, Erin Kazal, Stacey LaPlante and Christine Job. Ashley Polselli was the junior bridesmaid and Rebecca Harla was Gretchen's flower girl. Groomsmen were Jason Gottschalk, Tyler Cerny, Paul Spiers, Andrew Brant, Ronald LaPlante and Brian Teodecki. Adam Polselli was the junior groomsman and Daniel Finegan escorted the flower girl. Ring bearers were Joshua Miller and John Pasko and Nathan Miller served as the junior usher.
